  • In addition to an image of a government-issued ID with your name and photo, please include one of the following documents:

    • A copy of your SNAP benefits letter from your local SNAP office. Ensure your name is on the document.
    • A copy of your SSI current benefits verification letter. Ensure your name is on the document.
    • A copy of the most recent letter/document stating your child receives Free or Reduced lunch as part of the National School Lunch Program.
    • A copy of an approval letter from the Federal Public Housing Authority. Ensure your name is on the letter.
  • Buckeye Coax: The Buckeye Broadband Internet Assistance Program is a low-cost home internet service available to eligible limited income MaxxSouth serviceable households who participate in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), National School Lunch Program, or receiving assistance from the Federal Public Housing Authority. Eligible households who qualify and enroll with the Buckeye Broadband Internet Assistance Program can receive internet at discounted rates under this promotional offer. Taxes, charges for additional services or equipment, and other fees are applicable; and the customer may need to make a security deposit for equipment depending on the results of a credit check.  Professional installation of FreeNet may be required. WiFi is not included or supported by FreeNet. Not available in GPON areas. Buckeye Broadband reserves the right to determine Internet speed, advertising and browsing interval in its sole discretion. Internet Assistance Program

Before starting the application process please have a digital copy of 1 of the following documents (listed below) ready for submission.

SNAP - Front of card (including name and photo) and a copy of your government ID with name and photo, or a current "Participation of Benefits" Letter.

SSI - A copy of a current benefits verification letter and a copy of your government ID with name and photo.

Lunch Program - A copy of a current letter stating your  child is receiving free or reduced lunch as part of the National School Lunch Program and a copy of your government ID with name and photo.

Public Housing - A copy of a current approval letter from the Federal Public Housing Authority with recipients name and a copy of your government ID with name and photo.

Your application will not be considered submitted unless the required supporting documents are attached.

Internet Assistance Program FAQs

  • They are not the same. While the Affordable Connectivity Program was government-funded, the Internet Assistance Program was created by Buckeye Broadband to assist customers afford Internet access. 

    Rather than a specific discount amount, this program offers free Internet and low-cost Internet packages.

  • Yes! The IAP program does offer a free Internet package in addition to low-cost Internet packages!

  • If you currently participate in any of the following programs, you qualify for Internet Assistance:

    • Federal Public Housing Assistance
    • SNAP or TANF
    • Free & Reduced-Price School Lunch Program
    • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
