Buckeye Broadband Responds to COVID-19 Concerns

March 17, 2020

Buckeye Broadband is a Toledo-based company. For over 50 years, Buckeye Broadband has been actively involved in the Toledo community, employing local residents, investing in our local community and contributing to local charities for the betterment of our community. We have approximately 1,000 local residents on our payroll, and we play a crucial role in connecting our neighbors to the news, information, and entertainment that is important to them.

Our Response to the Challenges Presented by COVID-19

As of this writing, the coronavirus pandemic has spread across the globe, including the United States and our local community. We want you to know that we are well-equipped to adapt during times of crisis such like these.

  • We are working with our customers who cannot pay their bills due to the economic challenges caused by COVID-19.
  • Effective immediately and for the next 30 days, we will suspend the disconnection of high speed data service to all of our customers who currently are unable to pay their bill [due to an economic hardship related to COVID-19] and provide a lifeline internet service that will keep them connected. This operational policy will also apply to our residential telephone service.
  • We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has also affected our school systems. Many students are home-bound and unable to receive traditional classroom instruction. They will need reliable Internet service to continue their studies. We are working with schools to identify students in need and provide a lifeline connection to eligible students at no charge. Students in need should contact their school's administration as soon as possible to assist us in our efforts to coordinate this initiative.
  • The safety of our employees and customers is of the utmost importance at Buckeye Broadband. We have implemented a variety of safety measures for our in-home technicians such as safety masks and gloves to protect them and our customers.

Our Pledge

At Buckeye Broadband, we pledge to support our community through these difficult times. If you are currently unable to pay your bills, please contact us immediately (NW Ohio/SE Michigan: 419.724.9800 or Erie County: 419.627.0800) so that we can work with you.

We thank you, and wish you well.
