Technicolor Modem: How To Check Your WiFi Network Name and Password
- Begin by opening an Internet Browser, and in the search bar type, 192.168.0.1
- Leave the username and password fields blank and click the arrow button
- Once loaded, look beneath the Technicolor logo at the top of the page and click the “Wireless” tab
Changing Your WiFi Network Name and Password
WiFi Name:
Change the 2.4 GHz network name to a name of your choice, for example, “Buckeye Wireless”.
Then scroll down and change the network name under 5GHz to match the 2.4 GHz name, but add a “-5”. Example: “Buckeye Wireless-5”
Click the Save button once finished.
WiFi Password:
While under the Wireless Tab, to change your password, click the Security tab next to the word Radio. Be sure to not select the Security tab next to the word Wireless. Then in the network password field choose your new password.
Click the Save button once finished.
REMEMBER: Once changes to your WiFi network name/password have been saved, make sure to update your WiFi network name/password in your computer settings and on all of your devices connected to the wireless network.
